how powerful the brain really is

I've just read this awesome article: Placebos Are Getting More Effective. Drugmakers Are Desperate to Know Why. and I also recommend you do so since this thing just confirmed what has been know for many centuries and then forgotten: that healing is mostly a "faith" issue.
The article asks the question on why has the placebo effect been growing for the last 2 decades, it mentions the effectiveness of ad campaigns by evoking uplifting associations, so researchers say, the ads set up the kind of expectations that induce a formidable placebo response. I agree and not for the drugs also for everything you do/buy. Sports brands ads: they have long ago figure this out - your performance with some new shoes is improved by the kind of experience you associate it with. Visualization training that most Olympic athletes and even NASA astronauts go through can only mean that your brain holds the most powerful healthcare system within.
But the question remains, why would the placebo effect seem to be getting stronger worldwide? My answers are simple: there's a new shift in though worldwide, check any books best-selling chart and you'll spot "feel good / self-help / self-esteem" consistently on the top. Oprah books, "the secret", etc. There's also the same trend in blogs: the "improve yourself - improve your life" theme is growing by the numbers. Also the abandon of traditional religions is getting people to feel less guilty about their choices, they're not getting punished - they can feel better..
And you know what? I LOVE IT. because
Big Pharma's attempt to dominate the central nervous system has ended up revealing how powerful the brain really is. The placebo response doesn't care if the catalyst for healing is a triumph of pharmacology, a compassionate therapist, or a syringe of salt water. All it requires is a reasonable expectation of getting better. That's potent medicine.

Disarm the Weapons of Mass Distortion

In these times of crisis we need more than Money, i guess we need hope and a clear view!
We’re getting busy (not) dying and forget to get busy living. This is general paranoia, and watching the news every night reminds me of this:
“Cruelty and injustice, intolerance and oppression. And where once you had the freedom to object, to think and speak as you saw fit, you now have censors and systems of surveillance coercing your conformity and soliciting your submission. How did this happen? Who's to blame? Well certainly there are those more responsible than others, and they will be held accountable, but again truth be told, if you're looking for the guilty, you need only look into a mirror. I know why you did it. I know you were afraid. Who wouldn't be? War, terror, disease. There were a myriad of problems which conspired to corrupt your reason and rob you of your common sense. Fear got the best of you, and in your panic you turned to the now high chancellor. He promised you order, he promised you peace, and all he demanded in return was your silent, obedient consent"
From V for Vendetta

These words show us something that’s not so far out of our reality. Because the truth is: they spend more time showing us what to be afraid of than showing us what can be done. And worse of all: no one is explaining us WHAT KIND OF FUCKING LAWS ARE THEY MAKING AND HOW THEY WORK!! Everyday new laws are being approved that change our status as workers and even our freedoms. Anyway and not to get off topic (I’ll leave the politic manifestos to those who matter: YOU) we need hope.
We need to see thing as they are, not the way they are showing us… And another truth is that our lives are BORING (9 to 5 then home then work again) and the only we are getting our adrenaline rush is when we hear that our streets are full of menaces and then we can act on our most primitive action: survival. Even if it’s just the rush of surviving our western culture fake fears and addictions:-S
“I see all this potential, and I see squandering. God damn it, an entire generation pumping gas, waiting tables; slaves with white collars. Advertising has us chasing cars and clothes, working jobs we hate so we can buy shit we don't need. We're the middle children of history, man. No purpose or place. We have no Great War. No Great Depression. Our Great War's a spiritual war... our Great Depression is our lives. We've all been raised on television to believe that one day we'd all be millionaires, and movie gods, and rock stars."
Tyler Durden

Cheer up. Do something you like. Express yourself and most of all don’t believe anything by word.

I hate teachers who think they're so great and they can't see we all see they're worth shit or else they wouldn't be teachers but "doers".
I hate censorship: it's like some new fashion you can show, say or write what you want that the government will censor your ass. GET A FUCKING LIFE. Jezzz

a new hope

long time since i posted here so i decided to change things a bit. i'll be shifting from my conspiracy theories (yeah they'll continue but not the main focus anymore) to a more creative posting service... what that means is that hopefully i'll start posting at least once a week and having a more personal feel. so you'll probably start seeing more drawings, sketches, music mashups, photos and videos. so the remix will be expanding, lol.

all i want for x-mas is Jesus' time machine

Now that we celebrate the birth of Jesus, let's think about what all that means and consider this :
http://www.sciforums.com/Jesus-a-time-traveler-t-45782.html
"What If Jesus was someone from a distant future who traveled back in time to enstate an image for future religion. To keep control of western civilization and fix whatever problems related to control or morality that might have been happening in his time?"
Not a new idea but i really support the idea that there's a time traveler throughtout our history, just check these mysterious characters that appeared to different civilizations:
1 - Avalokiteshvara, or Chenrezig as he is known in Tibetan, is the Buddhist deity who personifies the ideal of compassion. He can be portrayed in several different forms, two of the most popular being as a white deity with either four arms or 1000 arms( the extra arms symbolize his ability to help many beings simultaneously).
2 - In the Hopi Prophecy, a white man would come to them and help transform the entire continent into a spiritual paradise.
3 - To the Mayans in the last thousand years the being known as Quatzequatl the Great Feathered Serpent was a God who brought the teaching of peace to this part of the world and appeared as a white God with a beard. The drawings of him look almost identical to the drawings of the being known as Ea or Enki in the ancient Sumerian teachings. In fact they looked like the images we see of Reptilians.
There's even a theory that the last words Jesus spoke on the cross are actually Maya....

Maybe Buda, Mohammad and Jesus are all really the same guy and there are many other "white men" that i don't recall right now that travelled somewhere in time to give the same message, since they all have points in common:
-a strange white man, usually with beard, origin unknown
-teaches peace
-helps and gives new teachings
-always appears when a big civilization is prosper and ready to collapse on itself
-disappears without a trace...and always with the message that will appear later in time or something like "i will be back" :)
